3/9/2021: Yesterday, CDC released guidelines for those who have been fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine.  You are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after your final dose of vaccine.  This means your second dose of either Moderna or Pfizer, or your first (and only) dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

For now, fully vaccinated people should continue to:

  • Wear a well-fitted mask and keeping at least 6 feet of distance between you and others (also called physical distancing) when in public
  • Wear a mask, practice physical distancing and other preventive measures when visiting with high risk, unvaccinated individuals or multiple households. Those at high risk for severe COVID-19 complications include older adults, pregnant people, and those with medical conditions.
  • Avoid medium and large in-person gatherings.
  • Get tested if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Follow CDC and health department travel requirements and recommendations.

Fully vaccinated people can:

  • Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing.
  • Visit with unvaccinated people from a single household who are at low risk for severe COVID-19 disease indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing.
  • Refrain from quarantine and testing following a known exposure if the person has no symptoms.
