OCONTO COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH JOHNSON & JOHNSON COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINIC CANCELLED
OCONTO, WI (April 13, 2021)-Oconto County Public Health (OCPH) is following the CDC and Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommendation to pause the use of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. As a result, the upcoming OCPH clinic on Thursday, April 15, 2021 is cancelled.
This cancellation does not affect the 2nd dose Pfizer vaccine clinic taking place on Wednesday April 14, 2021. That clinic will go on as scheduled and all of those with appointments are strongly encouraged to keep their appointments.
Anyone 16 and older who lives, works or studies in Wisconsin is eligible for COVID-19 vaccine and OCPH continues to recommend vaccination. Pfizer and Moderna use a different technology than Johnson & Johnson and continue to be safe and effective.
