Due to the continued partnership between Oconto County Public Health, Oconto County Emergency Management and the Wisconsin National Guard, free COVID-19 testing will continue in northern Oconto County into early 2021.

The Wisconsin National Guard will be providing free drive-through COVID-19 nasal swab testing at the Doty Town Hall located at 14899 County Road T, Mountain WI 54149.  Testing will take place from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • December 22, 2020
  • January 5, 2021
  • January 19, 2021
  • February 2, 2021
  • February 16, 2021
  • March 2, 2021

“Many agencies worked together to create successful testing events at this location, including the Town of Doty officials, Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Department and the Oconto County Highway Department,” stated Debra Konitzer, Oconto County Health Officer.  “Thanks to their efforts, along with Oconto County Public Health, Oconto County Emergency Management, and the Wisconsin National Guard, just over 400 COVID-19 tests were done at the previous 4 testing events.  We look forward to continuing to offer this important service in northern Oconto County.”

Anyone who is 5 years of age and older with at least one symptom of COVID-19, or who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 can get tested at these events.  Symptoms include: fever, cough, loss of taste/smell, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, chills, or muscle aches.

Testing is provided on a first-come first-served basis. Due to the unknown amount of interest, prepare for potential wait times. Participants must remain in their vehicles at all times and no public restrooms are available.

To save time, participants are encouraged to register the day of their test at  Do not register until the day of the test as questions about symptoms are asked.  If you don’t register online you will still be tested, but it will take more time. More information can be found at
